#HMB 257 - Making Online Dating Great Again
This week on the show we talk about a new dating service only for Donald Trump supporters to find love. In spite of what comedians tell you on Twitter, everyone deserves love, even those people who had the audacity to vote for the guy representing the other major party in America. The Buccaneers beat the Browns on Sunday and a new meme was born, make me famous, Internet! Elizabeth Warren took her DNA test thingy to prove she was a Native America and it turned out, she WAS! She’s 1/1,024th Native American! Only, DNA don’t prove Native American ancestry and that number is so small that it’s inconsequential. Most tribes you have to be at least 1/16th to be even considered as part of the tribe. What a total self own, good gosh. Donny is driving these people completely insane. He doesn’t give a crap about her and her heritage anyway, he was just goofing on her because he’s an asshole. Of course, there was an issue with him saying that he would donate 1 million dollars to her if she proved her Native American heritage and then he said he didn’t say that…he did. However, she didn’t prove her heritage, she’s 1/1,024 potentially, maybe, possibly since as we discussed those tests don’t prove heritage. So no, they lose again. Stop trying to keep up with this maniac, you’ll never get the edge on playing his game. Start focusing more on policy and less about how Orange Man Bad and you might have a shot in November…or don’t, I DGAF anymore. Check out the pod and tell a friend and many tanks for stopping by:

##HMB 256 - Did You See That UFC Fight Last Week?
Last week the nation celebrated Columbus Day…just kidding, it was just a bunch of cracka ass cracka’s bitching about how Columbus sucks and killed indigenous people which while true is more nuanced than that. For example, Martin Luther King cheated on his wife and plagiarized speeches but are we going to deny he did great things for the Civil Rights Movement? History’s greatest men did some bad stuff, no denying that but give me a break, would ya? Without Columbus’ journey, America wouldn’t have been discovered and while some think that wouldn’t be a bad thing, those people are also insufferable morons. I know that’s an ad hominem attack but I believe it to be true. When even the poor here are fat, we must be doing something right. Did you know that Columbus’ journey didn’t even get him onto the mainland of America? I didn’t either until I looked it up while writing this blog post! Plus, Italian’s don’t have much to celebrate aside from the Mob and pasta so let’s not take it away from them. Enjoy your day off and frig the hell off ASAP, please.
Anyhoozer, this week on the podcast we talk Hurricane Michael bashing the Florida panhandle, Kavanaugh being confirmed to the Supreme Court and did you see that UFC fight last week? It was crazy!

#HMB 255 - Sweet Chin Music with Zac Townsend
What a better person to discuss the greatness of old wrestling entrance themes & finishing moves, particularly Shawn Michaels & Mr. Ass than with Zac Townsend, the biggest ass and chin having maniac that I know? This week on the pod he joins and we riff a bit on these topics and soccer star Ronaldo is in a lot of trouble after the latest accuser comes forward for some inappropriate behavior that happened years ago. Basically, he paid a girl off for being a creep and now she’s asking for more money. Maybe stop being a creep and stop accepting money for crimes? Anyhoo, check out the pod here:

#HMB 254 - Cashing in on AL Manager of the Year & Judge Kava-Naw
This week on the podcast I get into why Kevin Cash deserves to be the Manager of the Year in Major League Baseball. It’s pretty simple really, he’s changed the game forever. The Opener is now going to be apart of the game as other teams adopted the strategy and the expectations of for the Rays were so low, they almost doubled their projected win total and nearly squeaked out that second Wild Card in a very competitive AL East. They would have won just about any other division in the MLB. Very impressive indeed, thanks for a great season, Rays!
Then, of course, we have to get into the Kavanaugh hearing. It’s so frustrating with how divided we are here in this country now. The Culture War is Civil War II and it’s fought almost entirely online. I hate it. Anyway, have a great week, cya later:

#HMB 253 - They'll Scream Out in Pain While They Strike You
This week on the podcast I start out with something I noticed in a song and how it sums up today’s culture in general, should the Buccaneers sit Jameis Winston after his suspension ends and keep rolling with the hot and magical hand of Ryan Fitzpatrick and I get stood up by a Bumble date and then got ghosted by another lady because I talked about it on the radio. Content first, always, even at my peril. I only hope that my bad luck brings some sort of entertainment to you, that’s all I ever really wanted anyway out of this life…
Dating is tough but online dating is a whole different beast (sometimes both literally and figuratively). If you don’t play though, you’ll never win and there are millions of other’s like me out there. The human mind doesn’t do well with more than 3 options for a choice and science has shown that more options actually make us miserable. It seems counterintuitive but it’s true. Tim Pool also put out a video talking about why more young people aren’t getting married and it, just like anything else in today’s world has to do a lot with politics:
So, the quest continues until someone special comes along or I give up. Happy Hunting!

#HMB 250 - Context Maters Until It Doesn't with Zac Townsend (@smacktownsend)
All right, the ban is temporally lifted and comedian/writer Zac Townsend stops by to talk this week in what people are mad about and fired for and there's an array of very silly examples to go through. Just real great stuff as I continue to lose my mind about this upside down world in which we live. People like being right, even when they're wrong. This week, a NASCAR driver loses a sponsorship becuase his DAD said something racist 35-GODDAMN-YEARS-AGO (doesn't that drive you insane?), & baseball players caught heat for an Instagram post featuring a likeness of Hitler and a sentiment defending the 2nd Amendment. I...I don't know how much longer I'm gonna be able to do this, honestly but here it is, this weeks pod:

#HMB 249 - Talkin' Buccaneers with Ian Beckles (@IanBeckles)
Ian Beckles at Dignitary Headquarters 8/22/2018.
Can you feel it? It's finally here, football is back and the whimsy and excitement for me is in full force. Every year, the past decade or so I say it out loud. "This year is the Bucs year, I have a good feeling about this team." Weeks after that, my hopes are dashed and I begrudgingly tune in to watch lack luster performances and loss after loss mount up and I wonder why I bother with this team...but that's sports. You enjoy your team while they're good and you stick with them when they're not and in our cases here in Tampa Bay it's the latter.
I have a good feeling about this team this year! I do, I shouldn't but I do. This week on the pod, former Buccaneer & current radio dude Ian Beckles stops by and talks me down from my expectations. We get his input on position battles, rookies and his prediction for what this 2018 Bucs team will do. Ian and I also get into the CTE controversy brewing in NFL locker rooms and owners boxes. Tune in to the pod below:

#HMB 246 - Casita Creep, Trump in Tampa & Tinder Trollops
Tamp's Trump Suporters aren't a big fan of CNN's Jim Acosta.
Ah, yes, we're only a few years into the Trump Era and he's been campaigning for 2020 since he was sworn in. The Trump Tour hit the Tampa Fairgrounds last Tuesday. I headed over there to talk to some of these folks and was pretty disappointed by how normal everyone was for the most part. The Young Turks showed up and managed to find some lunatics and even they weren't that bad but they must have had to do a lot of digging because I didn't have that experience. The best part of the rally was the lady flipping of CNN's Jim Acosta and heckling the network reps during the rally. CNN and the President have been bumping heads since before the election. Jim went on after the Tampa Rally to ask Press Secretary Sarah Sanders if she would publicly say that the Press isn't the enemy of the People:
CNN stinks, and everyone knows it. It's the FOX News of the Left and they spend most of it's 24 hour news cycle shitting on Trump while FOX slurps on Trump's balls. It's so easy to find other sources for news in the age of the internet so don't be lazy and seek out some other sources because if you're on board with a network you're either an unhinged ideologue or a fool. They're just filling the market void for what ideologue's and idiots want to consume though so I can't hold it against them.
Anyway, this week on the pod we learn about some creep filming ladies in the bathroom at a popular restaurant in St. Pete, Tampa ICE protesters for from U-Locks around their necks to handcuffs after being arrested earlier last week and their tent city taken down. By the way, what do you do at a protest if you're locked to other people and you have to go to the bathroom? Do you just poo your pants? Also, we get into those interview from people I talked to at the Trump Rally and I learn what a "Sugar Baby" is from a woman I matched with on Bumble and it mostly hurts my feelings. #HMB 244 - Don't Go to College
This latest Tony Daniel sign has gone too far...
This week on the pod we get into my crushing student loan debt & I have some advice for younger folks thinking about going to school and come up with a con to try to get out of the debt. Local lunatic Tony Daniel is facing some serious jail time after a fight with some other lunatics on a street corner in Tampa. Check out the video courtesy of the Tampa Bay Times:
Ladies, stop trying to fight men, you'll get hurt and if you punch a lunatic you might die for the love of God. Don't engage, avoid eye contact and keep moving, that goes for you too fella's...
Finally, we talk a little about the Trump-Putin fiasco earlier last week in Helsinki. SPOILER: it didn't go very well...

America, still looking good after 242 years. This week on the pod I'm just checking in on you. Between the holiday break and filling in for Roger & JP on The Bone I didn't have much time but just popping my head in to tell you about the greatest video of all time involving a man named Terry who got into a sticky situation involving fireworks and a motorized wheelchair. It may be the greatest video on the internet: you're welcome. Other than that, Chris Brown was arrested in Tampa before his performance for beating someone up...shocker.

#HMB 239 - Complete & Utter Mayhem (@TampaMayhem)
Billy & Josh from the Tampa Mayhem Rugby Club
I don't have much experience with Rugby. I've seen it on ESPN 3 are 3:30 in the morning when dealing with a bout of insomnia from time to time. It's a manly game though, boy; big in England and Australia. Aimlessly scrolling through social media one day I encountered the Tampa Mayhem a page, an American professional Rugby team based right here in Tampa. This week on the pod we talk with Billy & Josh from the Mayhem and we're talking all things Rugby.
This week I'm filling in on The Johnny B Show at 9PM on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday followed by Stay Woke, as always, at midnight on 102.5 The Bone so tune in if you just can't get enough of Your Boy Bill! #HMB 238 - You Got No Soul, Brother...
CNN: Travel host Anthony Bourdain dead at 61 by suicide. Photo courtesy of Bay News 9.
This one stings a little more. Anthony Bourdain was a guy I watched for many years as I lived vicariously though him as he ate and drank his way through the world. I appreciated his perceived toughness but openness to new experiences and cultures and was grateful I got to at least witness them through the box in my living room. I hope to have a fraction of the experiences he got to have in his life one day. He ended his life last week in a hotel room in France. Strung himself up with a bathrobe belt. What a waste...
I'm sympathetic to mental illness. I was medicated pretty heavily from 6 years old to 16. When I was a boy I tried to do the same thing with a belt, luckily I was a kid and didn't understand the process to succeed in the mission. I've had very close family members take a whole bottle of their medication and thankfully didn't succeed. I'm sure many of us have the same stories. Something is very wrong with our culture. Suicide is up 30 percent since 1999, according to the CDC. Even people who appear to have it all are susceptible. There's always been some romanticism to the act itself. Hemingway and Hunter S. Thompson come to mind off hand. The drive to want to be in control so much that even controlling when and where you leave the planet becomes a paramount in life. It's really the only thing we could control in life if you think about it; no other outside variables. We're just here for such a short time. Can't we grit through 80 years or so? We have forever for the converse...
I don't know, I'm sympathetic to it though. If you don't want to live anymore, why should you have to? It's a shame for the people who loved you and many of them won't be the same because of the act for the rest of their lives. Many taut the trope that we need to spend more on mental healthcare in America. They seem to be ignorant to the fact that people on psychiatric medication is alarming in this country with side-effects including, ironically, "suicide". I'm definitely not one of those people who hates corporations as much as I probably should but Big Pharma appears to be one of the more nefarious business' out there. Between creating a opioid epidemic and potentially creating drugs that lead to suicide that 1 in 6 American's are on, it may be time to start pointing fingers at the elephant in the room...
Anyhoo, this week on the podcast I got stood up again by a guest so I'm all by my lonesome talking Wyoming banning Rap after Kanye West's ranch listening party, Hurricane Maria death numbers become a point of contention in the Florida Senate race between Bill Nelson & Rick Scott and Miss America pageant ditches the swimsuits and becomes a "competition". Let me know what you think in the comments below or leave a voice or text message at (813) 693-2124. Check out the pod, here:

#HMB 236: See You Next Tuesday, You Lil' Monkeys!
Here's a picture of the old St. Pete Pier because I didn't take a picture this week. Pretty, huh?
This week on the show I'm all by my lonesome talking about Roseanne getting fired for an alcohol and Ambien fueled tweet & Samantha Bee not being fired for calling the presidents daughter a C-word, while insinuating that she should try to seduce him sexually (gross). Everybody is still mad at everyone down partisan lines & we're all making excuses for members of our "team" who are getting in trouble, oy vey. The Lightning blow another chance to bring home Stanley's Cup and people are talking about maybe firing Coach Cooper. The Las Vegas Golden Knights are in their first year of existence and have a shot to win it all but Las Vegas casinos may be secretly hoping they don't. All this and more in this weeks The Homemade Broadcast. There's some harsh language I left in for context so if that bothers you, grow up and frig off. OK, let's do this:
